That would be best, since some of us maybe great at smaller squad-based battles, but maybe not at large division-based conflicts. Of course anyone could sign-up for multiple legues as well.

I just thought that a sea based battle in a tourney wouldn't go up against a land based one very well.

Stuff along the lines of...

Land Battle, Air Battle, Sea Battle, Space Battle etc.

It would be best if we did both, since a sea battle would consist of thousands of individuals and be conducted over large areas and that would eliminate it from being a skirmish or even a "battle" in some cases.

My thoughts exactly.

I believe that each battle genre should have a different scale.

Or at least scale limits. Maybe at the smaller scales naval and air power would be treated as support powers if applicable.
