How do you go about scaling down a picture for use as an avatar?

I want Mannerheim, but I can only get this guy with a rifle. It's pretty much pissing me off.

Well, in what way do you mean?

Scaling down the picture's size, or scaling down so that the image isn't distorted, like mine?

What I'd like to do, is take a large image, and make it smaller.

That would be beneficial to us all, unless you want a rather unfriendly-looking germanic tribesman pointing a rifle at your face every time you read my shakespearean posts.

Simple, just the URL in the link off site box-thing, and then where it says avatar dimensions, just set it to where the image is not distorted but below 120x120 pixels, please. Like mine, here's the link, as you can see, much bigger than 120 by 120, so, I just scale it down with simple division to where the ratio of height to length is the same, just with numbers under 120, and put that in the avatar dimensions areas, hit submit, budda-bing, budda-boom, you got it.

At least, that's how mine worked.

Sweet dude, thank a lot.

I'll be doing that sometime later. Which reminds me of another thing.

As a half-wop, I insist that you say Bada-Bing. I'm not huge on the Italian culture, as I find it dirty, but that was a rusty nail to my eyes, haha.

I'm American, not Italian, I can butcher however I see fit.

No, really, glad I could be of assistance.

Well, in that case. Since I fear your immense power as a child of the world's largest super-power, I'll just keep my trap shut.

(Thanks again pal.)
